Early Phase Cancer Clinical Trials Program (New Therapies); Lung Cancer Research; Skin Cancer Prevention and Research Fund; and the Patient Care and Assistance Fund all received about $5,500 each. Gastrointestinal Cancer Research; Head and Neck Cancers Research; Education; End of Life Care; and Sarcomas and Bone Cancers Research collectively received nearly $15,000.
Riders were able to direct their donations to their choice of 17 cancer research and treatment programs (17 at the time, now 20) at the UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Every dollar raised by our Challengers went directly to the cancer fund of their choice at the UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center.
